    What happened yesterday?

    Event No. 33, a $1K NLH event, was won by Max Steinberg, who won after a second-place finish in 2010. Second-place finisher Samuel Gerber got his second career runner-up finish in the WSOP. Matt “ALL IN AT 420″ Stout finished in third for his first six-figure score.

    Event No. 34, a $5K Omaha event, is down to the final 11 players, including former November Niner Joseph Cheong, WSOP, WPT and EPT winner Davidi Kitai, and Kevin “ImaLuckSac” MacPhee. Naoya Kihara enters the final day with a big chip lead.

    Event No. 35, a $2.5K mixed hold’em event, is down to a final table. PTP member Chris “indariva” Tryba is at the final table, as is Phil Ivey.

    Event No. 36, a $3K shootout tourney, started with nearly 600 players, and 60 remain heading into day two. Winners of day one tables include David “Bakes” Baker, Melanie Weisner, Antonio Esfandiari, Christian Harder, Mickey Petersen, Justin Bonomo, Jean-Robert Bellande and James Akenhead.

    Event No. 37, a $2.5K eight game event, got underway, with Jeff Madsen, Marco Traniello, Ylon Schwartz, Sorel Mizzi, Andy Bloch, and Barry Greenstein all doing well early.
