New to Texas hold’em? Want to quickly and easily memorize strategies for playing every starting hand from every table position in limit and no-limit games? Texas Hold’em Flash Cards is a new app for iPhone and iPad that could speed up your learning curve. Texas Hold’em Flash Cards’ quiz feature contains more than 1,000 randomized situations. You’ll be dealt a random starting hand, given a random table position (early, middle, late, small blind, big blind), and presented with a random pot state (unraised, raised, reraised). Example: You’re dealt queen-jack suited, you’re in middle position, and a player before you has raised. Do you fold, call, or reraise? On the flip side of each flash card you’ll find a short tip for playing limit hold’em, and a longer tip for playing NLH. You can also choose a starting hand and view the advice for that particular hand – a handy reference feature when playing online.

The system is based on a starting hand grouping system extolled in the soon-to-be-released book Starting Hands – Tips and Strategies for Playing Every Starting Hand In Texas Hold’em Poker. The quiz answers and advice are based on a standard limit starting hand chart, actual pot odds, showdown potential, and EV statistics.
